He is very passionate about personal development, leadership, teaching and learning. He correspondingly possesses an extensive repertoire of soft skills including expert communication ability (verbal, written and active listening), ability to build and establish rapport very quickly, among others.


He previously advised from the General Counsel and Legal Services departments of The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) and the Enugu Electricity Distribution Plc (EEDC). He was a pioneer employee of the unbundled Nigerian Power Sector, deploying cogent and verifiable legal and business skills in setting up the Legal Department and other ancillary units at EEDC. Furthermore, he was a valuable member of the EEDC team that secured the N7.5 Billion CBN Nigeria Electricity Market Stabilisation Fund in 2015, and the team that negotiated the $26 million excision of Aba Ring Fence Area in favour of Geometric Power from EEDC.


Obinna ensures client satisfaction by playing at the intersection of Energy Legal Services, Government Relations/ Business and Psychology. Utilising all these tendencies and capacities in ensuring consistent win-win disposition for stakeholders and clients.
