Bloomfield LP advises the consortium of Falcon Corporation, ND Western & First Hydrocarbon on a Gas Infrastructure Development Project in the Lagos Free Zone

Bloomfield LP is pleased to be advising a consortium of Falcon Corporation Limited, ND Western Midstream Limited, and FHN Gas Limited (the “Consortium”), seeking to build (exclusively), own, and operate a natural gas distribution infrastructure network for the supply and distribution of gas within the Lagos Free Zone (the “Project”).

This Consortium (which is made up of key players across the whole energy value chain in the Nigerian oil and gas industry) prides itself, as the pioneer of a project of this nature, following the enactment of the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021, and it is encouraged by the positive knock-on effect that same would bring.

Bloomfield continues to play a significant role in the Project, having advised on the legal framework for, and registered Optimera Energy LFZ Enterprise (the “Enterprise”), the Project special purpose vehicle set up within the Lagos Free Zone. We are currently advising on all aspects of the Project, from development, to completion, including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, preparation, drafting, and review of relevant Project and financing documentation, as well as the provision of company secretarial services, to the Enterprise.

The Bloomfield team, which is advising on the Project, is led by our Partner, Dr. Ayodele Oni and is supported by our Ebele Folorunsho (Senior Associate), Joshua Olorunmaiye (Executive Associate) and other Associates.
